ED Seeks CBI Records on NEET-UG Leak; Two Suspected Murder Shooters Killed

The Enforcement Directorate has requested the Central Bureau of Investigation’s complete case records regarding the alleged NEET-UG 2024 paper leak, as the financial crimes agency probes potential financial irregularities linked to the examination scandal. According to sources familiar with the development, this move could introduce a new investigative dimension to the ongoing probe. The CBI had earlier taken over the case following widespread allegations of irregularities in the medical entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Police have not yet confirmed the identities of the deceased suspects or their exact motives, and the investigation remains ongoing.

A three-year-old boy was allegedly subjected to severe physical abuse while attending a playschool in northeast Delhi’s Maujpur, according to police. The child’s parents noticed behavioral changes and visible injuries, prompting medical examination that confirmed signs of assault. CCTV footage later obtained from the school corroborated the abuse allegations, which also include possible sexual harassment. An attendant has been arrested, while the teacher, principal, and director of the institution have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
